Not able to find Site collection term store group

Problem

Not able to find the site collection term store group or Local term store group. I tried the below steps




  1. Checked on the Publishing Infrastructure feature, its already activated. 

  2. So tried to create the Local term store group by adding managed meta data column to any list or library. Eventually creating this column will allow us to create the local term set. When I tried to do so faced the below issue










"The default termstore for this site cannot be identified."





Resolution


Thanks to Fabian Williams blog on this issue. Did exactly as mentioned in the blog. Selected the default storage location option in the Managed Metadata Service Application.


Now I should be able to create the local term store group, and the default group would get created when any new site collection is provisioned.
